Choosing Joy

In this episode of At Home, Greta Eskridge leads the discussion on “Choosing Joy”.  This is a regular theme in Greta’s own life and she tells us why that’s the case.
We go on to talk about what a joyful person looks like, and why choosing joy really matters. We discuss practical ways to seek joy in times of trial or sorrow. And what we need to offer to our children, our spouses and our friends when choosing joy is hard to do.
This isn’t a light and frivolous episode. But rather a real talk about what it looks like to choose to walk with a joyful heart, even if the path we’re on is one lined in hardships and sadness.
We hope you’ll find this episode uplifting whether your hearth feels heavy or light right now. As always, thank you so much for listening and supporting At Home!

Scripture: Proverbs 17:22

Scripture: Habakkuk 3:17-18

“Though the fig tree does not bud

and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails

and the fields produce no food,

though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,

yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”
